Partnering

Dunstan Thomas engage in a Client partnering model where both parties have defined responsibilities for the development and support of a software application. This approach is applicable to the following scenarios:

  • Development and support of a software application where control and priority management is defined by the Client
  • Outsourcing of a discreet sub component of a project
  • Supplementing an existing development team e.g. project kick start model or emergency cover

A Partnering relationship usually means that business ownership of the software application is owned by the Client and Dunstan Thomas provides development expertise within the relationship.

Dunstan Thomas aims to provide value for money for our Partners and provide a number of flexible resourcing models to achieve this:

  • Onsite Model
  • Offsite Model
  • Offsite/Offshore Model

Onsite Model

Dunstan Thomas provide a team of resources located onsite at the Client’s premises, either working as an isolated project team or working together with an existing development team. The Project Management and Business Analytical aspects of the project are usually undertaken by the Client in this model.

Offsite Model

Dunstan Thomas provide a team of resources located at our premises in Portsmouth. This model works best for a long term support relationship or Dunstan Thomas are entirely responsible for the development of a software application from a pre-defined and agreed set of requirements.

Offsite/Offshore Model

Dunstan Thomas provide a team of resources co-located at our premises in Portsmouth and our offshore partner’s premises in Romania. This model retains domain knowledge and management in the UK whilst delivering the cost saving efficiencies of software development offshoring. The relationship with the offshore team is entirely managed by our UK team but the majority of the development or support is conducted offshore.
